RP TIPS Keywords: RPTIPS, RPHELP This helpfile will help people better understand what can and cannot be done in roleplays. Here are some FAQs about the basics of RP. Destroying Planets/Cities: You may destroy cities but you must first discuss it with your friendly RP admin for approval. A destroyed/damaged city is not gone forever, but only until it can be rebuilt (about a month real-time) or the dragonballs are gathered and the city restored. Wishes: Wishes are allowed, though they are a rare occurrence in RP, and are usually controlled by the RP Admins. The extent of their influence is at the discretion of the RP Admins. God Roleplaying: Try to avoid this. An example would be if you forced another player to do something. For example, if Goku had thrown a punch at Bardock, and Bardock decided to dodge the attack and grab Goku's arm. That would be unacceptable. He could lunge forward and attempt to grab it, unless you ask the other player for permission. Combat: The majority of combat is carried out via a dice-roll system (chat *dice <#>), wherein the luckier or unlucky your roll, relative to what tier you are, affects the damage your attack inflicts. Basically, the higher number you roll, the better for you! Unspoken Rules: There are several unspoken rules in RP which should be addressed. (1) Anime/Game character names are allowed, however you -CANNOT- roleplay the character from that game or anime. This isn't just a matter of personal opinion, it simply becomes hard to deal with characters who have powers that may or may not be absurd in the Dragon Ball universe our RP timeline is based off. You -CAN- have your character based off them, such as their appearance and attitude, possibly even some abilities and nothing keeps you from naming your custom attacks after their own. (2) Solo Roleplaying has become very common, and that's fine, but while you go about creating your own story from scratch make sure your NPC's from that line are not nightmarishely powerful (capable of doing some serious damage to the universe and whatnot). As a rule, they should be no more than 2 tiers less than you. If you really feel like you need a strong NPC, or maybe if you would like to start your own saga - ask an RP admin if they'll help you. More than likely if you ask, an Admin will take some time out to Roleplay your villain/hero and help get more people into your RP! (3) We do not base our in-RP power to what our in-character powerlevel is we use a tier system to base a persons power off. See help rptier. The immortals of Dragonball Infinity are mortal beings who had long since died and trained in the afterlife. Eventually their power became so massive that they obtained immortality. They rule over the universe, and the several planets. Their power is indescribable but they have limits and for the most part, will not kill mortals. These guidelines are subject to change, and could be altered at any time.
