RPEnergy What's that cool new tier and % by your name? Well RolePlayer... that is your RpEnergy (RPE)! This current system is in a bit of a beta phase and we're testing it out at the moment so feedback and experimentation is welcomed! Once you have gained your first Green RPP you will notice that this tracker has appeared next to your name on who. You can also see it within your score, and with RPFinger. You also have a new command at your disposal, 'rpenergy'. By typing this command with no argument you can see its function. You can use 'rpen' for short. For example, 'rpen +100 Because I'm Alive' would set your energy to 100% with the reason being 'Because I'm Alive'. In further iterations these changes will be announced directly to the chat channel in some way, or just perhaps just recorded for the immortals or players to review (I'm not sure what the plan is at the moment more on this later...) RPEnergy is intended to be used as a player-driven resource system to represent energy, and effort expended during combat on the roleplay channels. Energy should be spent by a player as an indication of how much of their power they are using to push beyond their normal 'base' limits. Spending RPEnergy does not necessarily mean your character is going 'beyond' their Tier, or obtaining a new level of power. It simply represents that the action you are using that energy for is meant to be more powerful within the narrative of the combat, and the opposing player should treat that technique, skill, or attempt as such. Dodging, deflecting, or otherwise disengaging with that action should require you to spend an even greater deal of energy in order to perform that action. Characters with a significant Tier advantage may be able to negotiate that expense, but generally speaking, treat the techniques that other players spend their energy towards with more narrative significance. RPEnergy cannot be reduced below 0%, nor can it go above 100% (Special situations withheld). Players can, with this system, 'Ki-Transfer' a percent of their energy to another player in RP. This will never be a one-to-one ratio, but the exact amounts should be bargained for, or agreed upon by all players present in the roleplay. Recovery of RPE is manual process at the moment, and it is not intended that you recover to maximum after every battle. Or necessarily start out every fight at 100%. Only a long rest in a healing chamber, or something like senzu beans would put you back to 100%, or perhaps near the beginning of a new arc. The intent is to have RPE have weight, and the uses of RPE to be meaningful. Please also see 'Help RPERecovery' At the moment there is no set costs for skills, in the future there might be, but for now we would like to see how the free form system plays out. As a general guide: 100% - Fully Rested >= 50% - Ok 40-49% - Winded 30-39% - Tired 20-29% - Very Tired 10-19% - Exhausted <10% - Dead on Feet SEE ALSO: RP, RPTIER, BIO, RPFINGER, RPEnergy, RPGALAXY, RPSKILLSLOTS
