Hailing from the Epitome of Nightmares, a proverbial Hades of the stars, all demons are born from the terrifying Maelstrom that roars over the planet in a great cosmic storm. The Maelstrom was formed eons ago when the evils of spiritual souls escaped through a breach in the fabled Afterlife. As the dimensions were torn asunder, the escaping evil energy gave birth to this supernatural race of warriors. Often emerging from the Maelstrom as spiritual nimbus, the newly formed demons search the universe for evil spiritual energy wells and create a suitable body to mirror the destruction and chaos that they absorb. This creates a wide and sometimes frightening variety of physical features and abilities, making it difficult to classify or predict what the true potential of the Demon race might actually be. Since ancient times however, the race of demons have often centralized into Totem clans, ruled over by the strongest warlords, sages, and leaders of the Epitome of Nightmares. These war bands often choose a totem animal that personifies the ideals and virtues that embody the strengths of each clan, and over time this has given birth to fierce rivalries. In the present day, nearly all of the totem clans have been eradicated, leaving only a few scattered demon families to carry on the ancient traditions. Often it is the most ancient of demon bloodlines that still carry on these rites, and thus a terrible battle to secure true bloodlines and lineage has erupted across the Epitome as new demon clans battle to assert their place in the hierarchy of demon society, while those of "pure" blood battle to cement the old traditions and burn the planet clean of these usurpers. ___/ Homeworld \___________/ Lifespan \___________/ Legends \___ EON | Unknown | Elplane | | Kade SEE ALSO: RP, RPTIER, BIO, RPFINGER, RPPREWARDS, RPABILITY

                        THE DARK CHILDREN OF EON

Only in the past decade has the true origin of the Demon race been
revealed. Once believed to have been the cosmic fly in the ointment of
life that spurred the beginnings of all races, it appears that the Demons
have a more hellish beginning than even first imagined.

Hailing from the Epitome of Nightmares, a proverbial Hades of the stars,
all demons are born from the terrifying Maelstrom that roars over the
planet in a great cosmic storm. The Maelstrom was formed eons ago when the
evils of spiritual souls escaped through a breach in the fabled Afterlife.
As the dimensions were torn asunder, the escaping evil energy gave birth to
this supernatural race of warriors. Often emerging from the Maelstrom as
spiritual nimbus, the newly formed demons search the universe for evil
spiritual energy wells and create a suitable body to mirror the destruction
and chaos that they absorb. This creates a wide and sometimes frightening
variety of physical features and abilities, making it difficult to classify
or predict what the true potential of the Demon race might actually be.

Since ancient times however, the race of demons have often centralized into
Totem clans, ruled over by the strongest warlords, sages, and leaders of
the Epitome of Nightmares. These war bands often choose a totem animal
that personifies the ideals and virtues that embody the strengths of each
clan, and over time this has given birth to fierce rivalries.

In the present day, nearly all of the totem clans have been eradicated,
leaving only a few scattered demon families to carry on the ancient
traditions. Often it is the most ancient of demon bloodlines that still
carry on these rites, and thus a terrible battle to secure true bloodlines
and lineage has erupted across the Epitome as new demon clans battle to
assert their place in the hierarchy of demon society, while those of "pure"
blood battle to cement the old traditions and burn the planet clean of
these usurpers.
