(#)-=-=-=>. \_>>)(HARDCORE BENEFITS)>>-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=>> Upon creation, you will be asked whether you want to be a Hardcore player. Being a Hardcore player changes many aspects of gameplay here at DBI, both good and bad for the player. The Good: -Hardcore characters' ranks on the who screen are always listed as "MYSTERIOUS BEINGS". This prevents people from having any idea of their base powerlevel without scanning or sensing. -Only Hardcore characters can see and speak on the HARDCORE channel. -Hardcore characters do not show up on most hiscore tables. The exceptions to this are: RPP, IKCounter, PKill, and Bounty. -Attacking a Hardcore character at five times their current powerlevel or more will make them automatically powerup to their first form. -The config +autosense/autosenseplanet options do not work on Hardcore characters, meaning they can freely move between planets without being sensed, and you cannot simply tell their powerlevel by looking at them. -Hardcore characters' equipment cannot be seen via the look command. -Hardcore players cannot be detected via the sense planet command. -A HCOnly flag exists on certain top-tier equipment, preventing softcores from wearing it. -While anyone can place a bounty on another player, only Hardcore characters can hunt softcore players. Hardcores can be hunted by all. The Bad: -Hardcore characters can be attacked by other players at any time. -Hardcore characters learn skills at 10% mastery instead of 25%. -Hardcore characters only have 10 minutes of safety after a death, as opposed to 30 minutes of safety for a softcore. -Hardcore characters receive a 15% penalty to gained powerlevel. Overall, Hardcore is viewed as an enhanced difficulty setting, and is not recommended for new players. If you find Hardcore mode not to your liking, you can revert to softcore mode by typing 'hcstate normal yes'. HCstate can only be used at any PL (as of 08/14/2022). YOU CANNOT GO BACK TO HARDCORE AFTER THIS. When you create as a Hardcore character you are consenting to full and open PVP. You WILL be killed. You are consenting to being killed choosing this path. If you do not like the idea of being killed at random and potentially with no chance of winning, please recreate as a softcore or revert your hcstate (#)==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=->> SEE ALSO: Hardcore_Benefits, FLEE, DEATH, DEATHTIMER (#)==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=->>
