The Kaio are among the most ancient of races in existence.
According to many legends they are, in fact, the very first sentient
species of them all. They posess many great powers, and the most
powerful of them long ago declared themselves to be the guardians of
the universe. Their powers include abilities such as psychokinetic
manipulation of objects, as well as the ability to create objects
using their own energy to gift to others, as well as a special pair
of earrings that is their keepsake.
More recently, there has been a split in the views of how the Kaio
should oversee the universe. Kaio-S are the traditional, Shin like
Kaio and the Kaio-Z are the Zamasu like "evil" Kaio. Each one has
its own benefits, with the Kaio-S generally being about protection
and helping out others, and the Kaio-Z being selfish and direct.
In game, a Kaio is able to change their archetype by swaying their
alignment.
Known Kaio include: King Kai, Grand Kai, Shin, Kibito, and Zamasu.
