CHANNELS Keywords: CHANNELS The following is a list of channels available for your use on DB:I. Each channel will have its own helpfile with a further explanation about its use. See 'help <channel name>'. You can govern which channels you can participate in via the 'channels' command. This operates similar to your config menu: channels +/-<channel|all> Public channels: Newbie: We have combined the newbie, ask, answer and question channels into one. Racetalk: Each race has their own channel. Talk about whatever you want here, as long as it remains within the rules. Chat: This is the main RolePlaying channel. Please do not use this channel for normal conversation. See 'help roleplay' for more info. Chat OOC: This channel is used to talk OOCly about things happening in current/past/future RP's. Again, don't treat this as a normal channel. Trivia: This channel is only to be used when a trivia game with prizes is held. If you aren't meaning to reward a prize, use OOC. Traffic: This channel is used to request items to be sold, and/or announce that you have items that you are willing to sell. Nothing else should be conversed on this channel. Wartalk: This is where talk of PK fights, spar requests, and any other forms of player-to-player combat is held. Music: Post lyrics of your favorite songs, or talk about how crappy one song or artist is. All music speak goes here. Ask: Can be used to ask questions, but will automatically redirect to the Question channel. Answer: Can be used to answer questions, but will use Question. Yell: Use to communicate across an area. Cannot be used while resting/sleeping. OOC: Out Of Character. This is where any and all talk goes that doesn't fit into any other category. HardCore: Hardcore players get their own private channel to talk about whatever they want, within the rules. Roleplay: This is where Roleplaying events are held. Roleplay OOC: This is where OOC conversation of RP events can be talked about. Clan: When in a clan, you get another channel to talk to your clanmates on. It's usually up to the clan admin or clan leader to decide what goes, however the same rules apply. FOS: The 'Freedom of Speech' channel is for 18+ and contains language not suitable for anyone younger. Make no mistake, this channel IS moderated and WILL be enforced. Freedom of Speech means you can use -words- that are not allowed on other chans, not ideas. MISC: Discussion about other video games is done here. Private Channels: Tells: Communicate privately with other people here. Whisper: Communicate privately with other people in the same room as you. Immortal Channels: Admin: Use this channel to contact Administrators for important things only. See 'help admincontact' for further info. Here on DB:I, we have rules that govern how we expect our players to behave themselves on these channels. To be clear, these rules must be followed by everyone; administrators and players alike. For an explanation, see 'help channelrules', 'help swear', and in a more general sense, 'help rules'. You must also be aware of the rules in the 'help questinfo' helpfile. http://dbinfinity.gamingrendo.com/download/MinichatV4.xml.txt ^^ MUSHCLIENT MiniChat addon courtesy of Kaiza Just remove .txt and import the .xml plugin in Mushclient SEE ALSO: QUESTION, RACETALK, CHAT, ROLEPLAY, TRIVA, WARTALK, MUSIC YELL, OOC, HARDCORE, CLAN, FOS, TELL, WHISPER, ADMINCONTACT, RULES, QUESTINFO NOTE: You can use the history and thistory commands to see past channels and tells.
