SMABS The land of the retired SMOBS. This is where all the old smobs go to die... SMABLAND. SMAB is short for 'smob activity bonus' and works a bit differently than what we have already done for activity bonuses. By killing different mobs of a certain race you have a chance to spawn mobs from a selected pool of "retired" smobs. These will no long appear in the regular SMOB rotation. You must be in "DNA" range to get credit for a SMAB. This means you need to be within x2 of the mob and not suppressed. This restriction is lifted for mobs that are above 1t+, so you CAN suppress and kill them. Currently not every race has an available SMAB to spawn, but will eventually and there is fallback if there is no available race. While you are mobbing there is also a chance that the race you are playing as will add points to the pool as well. Once a pool reaches a certain threshold there is a roll and one of the top 3 races in the list will spawn a SMAB. There is also a "general" pool for a SMAB that does not fit into the current race list. When a SMAB spawns it will alert the entire MUD. You can use sense area and sense planet to help you find the SMAB after it has spawned. There is a 4 hour cooldown between spawns. There is also a 24 hour cooldown for EACH race before it can go into the spawn list again.
