The Saiyans were once a race of brutal, primitive bandits who lived
on Planet Plant. Their ancient rivals, the Tuffles, were physically
inferior to the Saiyans but managed to keep them in check using
their superior technology. However that dominance did not last
forever. On the night of a full moon, something extremely rare on
Plant, the Saiyans transformed into their most fearsome Oozaru forms
and rose up against the Tuffles. The Tuffles were all but wiped
out, and the Saiyans took both the planet and their technology,
renaming it to Vegeta in honor of their King. The Saiyans quickly
grew to believe themselves the most powerful species in existance,
and it was this arrogance that led to their brush with extinction.
Failing to heed the warnings of the warrior Bardock, they were
nearly destroyed by the Icer known as Frieza. Many years have
passed since then, and the Saiyan race has managed to rebuild itself
once again.
It is said that ascended Saiyan's have acquired the legendary Super
Saiyan technique, with some skilled warriors even managing to
transcend to a level beyond.
Known Saiyans include: Goku, Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz, and Bardock
For a list of Skills see 'help saiyanskills'. Low Life Gains are
also an important aspect to understand for Saiyans.
