Keywords: QUESTINFO, QUESTS
As of 04/07/15, the sharing of quest information is legal. However,
it is ILLEGAL to share quest info publically on any type of channel
including, but not limited to, OOC, FoS, Clan, or any other channel
that can be seen by more than one person at a time. It is legal to
share info via tells or outside of the MUD communication means. Keep
in mind that some people do like the challenge of a quest, and you
should not spoil that challenge for anybody.
To clarify, the following CAN be shared over public channels:
*Where to find a certain mob.
*What area a certain item can be found in.
*What mob[s] teach a certain skill.
*Where to start a quest.
*Where/who sells a certain item. Shops do not fall under quest
The following is considered quest information and should NOT be
shared over public channels.
*What mob drops a certain item.
*How to get a certain item to load.
*Any information on where to get a key.
*Any information on how to start/progress/complete a quest.
Please keep in mind that there is no obligation to share quest info.
There is no punishment for somebody refusing to give away
information, whether it be private or public.
If at any point you wonder if you should be publically sharing
information on an item, a mob, or a quest, assume that you should
not, and instead only privately share the information.
NOTE: This helpfile may be updated and changed at any time as needed
so be sure to refer back to it often. Also remember that any player
caught asking for or giving out quest info publically will be
punished at the discretion of the immortal who catches it.
The answer to Yajirobe's question is No, you cannot give help to
another player if they're trying to complete a quest. While this
answer is not technically correct, want to to instill the notion
that you must share quest information via private communication.*============================-[QUESTINFO]-=============================*
