Equipment in Dragonball: Infinity, much like clothing in real life,
can be worn in layers to provide more protection from foes.
Layerable equipment is denoted with a layer number, visible with the
analyze command, or shown in your inventory in [brackets] behind the item's
name. Layer numbers, along with an item's wear location, determine a piece
of equipment's stackability with other pieces of equipment. Up to nine
layers of equipment may be worn in each location. The following layers may
all be worn in a single stack:
Layer 1
Layer 2
Layer 4
Layer 8
Layer 16
Layer 32
Layer 64
Layer 128
Layer 256
Any item with a layer number outside of the above will take the place of
BOTH the layer above it and the layer below it. For instance, a layer 24
item will take the place of both a layer 16 item and a layer 32 item. A
layer 12 item will take the place of both a layer 8 and a layer 16 item.
You could not a layer 12 and a layer 24 item, because both count as a layer
16, and you obviously cannot wear two layer 16 items.
The chart below illustrates the relationship between layers of equipment.
Green layers may be stacked atop one another, while red layers count as
both layers they are connected to.
