HEART
Heart is the humans unique resource and self buffing feature. When you use
the heart command you will see a menu showing your current levels, as well
as timer bonuses and commands.
Heart (resource) will raise quickly while in combat. Taking damage, or
mitigating damage through block/dodge will grant you heart. Once it
reaches 100 you can spend it on a level of Tenacity, Will, or Resolve.
Tenacity increases your damage resistance, and gets stronger the lower your
HP goes.
Will increase the damage you do, and also gets more powerful with lower
HP.
Resolve provides a pl/stats gain bonus for each level.
Sustain is used to increase your timer and allow you to keep these effects
going longer. However, each sustain causes you Heart Burn. Each level of
heart burn makes it more difficult to add a level to your Tenacity, Will,
or Resolve. Sustain costs only 25 resource.
As you attain more Heart levels you will gain bonuses to your timers.
Allowing you to eventually stay in Heart for a very long time. Think of it
like you are "banking" every level you obtained. Once this count gets
large enough you gain extra seconds. The TIME you spend in Heart does not
influence this, just the levels of T/W/R you have gotten.
In the beginning it may feel like it is hard to get all the levels and keep
them going, but after you build up your sustain it will become easier.
Every 10 levels of heart you have "banked" you will fall one less HP from
heart wearing off. Up to a maximum of 40 hp.
You can also use 'heart end' to end the buff prematurely. You will still
lose LF though.
Humans have access to a NEW mechanic called heart attack. This will boost
you into your max stacks for resolve will and tenacity, but for only half
the timer. You will unlock this when you reach 40.00 LF for your heart
recovery.
With heart attack you will have half the timer length and always fall to 20
LF after it expires.
Using Heart Attack does NOT increase your sustain timer.
