Contest Prestige allows for existing characters of a racial contest in
progress to reset down to new character stats/powerlevel to participate in
a contest. All of your vital pfile information is duplicated and stored
before you reset. So your powerlevel, stats, zeni, skills, skill levels,
qbits, etc etc. When the contest expires, you will gain ALL of the
powerlevel you gained on the contest character to your prereset pool, and
1/4 of the Stats you gained to the prereset pool. (Note, this is because
stat growth slows down as you gain more stats, capping eventually at 1/4
growth rate). It also smart does this, so it checks what was higher for
restoration so you gain the most value back, aka if you were only 100m when
you reset and got to 100b, a bunch of higher level skills, stats, etc it
takes your contest values as your stored values and adds the prereset ones
at whatever their determined rates.
Additionally, a new slot has been added called contestbag. An existing
character's ENTIRE item pool is stored and dumped into this bag. This is a
special bag that can only be removed when it is empty. When it is empty
and removed it automatically deletes. You cannot take anything out, or put
anything in during the contest. When the contest is over, you can only
remove things. I've done some fairly extensive testing with all of this,
so there shouldn't be any major issues, however I'm looking for fringe
cases that could be exploited. As an example, anything inside the
contestbag won't trigger any programs that have item checks. If you can
think of anything that needs to be addressed, please write note, send tell,
msg discord, wtfe.
